“Do we have to get a permit for this?”

Not all projects require a permit to be issued; however, one should always be obtained if so required. But remember a permit does not address quality of workmanship, but it does assure that compliance with applicable building codes have been met.

Will your company be doing all of the work?”

Malchow Building & Remodeling will complete all or most of our projects with in house staff. However, in the instances that sometimes require us to engage sub contractors, be assured that we use only qualified specialty contractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.). We require our subs to carry liability insurance and workers compensation insurance.

“When can you start? How long will it take to complete?”

Each project, even those of a similar nature, are unique and may require a different span of time to complete. Our Contract contains an approximate start date and a date of substantial completion. Although every attempt is made to meet these goals, weather, change orders, and failure by the home owners to make timely decisions, are some of many factors that can influence these scheduled dates.

“Is your company insured?”

Malchow Building & Remodeling carries adequate liability insurance. Our employees are covered by workers’ compensation insurance. We are bonded in areas where required.

We insist on a clean, safe, working environment, and take pride in the fact that we have had only one minor workers' comp claim in our history.

“Can your company provide design services?”

Although a small percentage of our customers come to us with working drawings, most have a need for design services. Malchow Building & Remodeling will work with you to design the best project possible based upon your wishes and budget.

“Once you start, will you stay on the job until completed?”

YES!  We understand that the daily disruption of your family’s routine, by people you don’t know, can be the most stressful aspect of the project. Our goal is to make your experience as stress free as possible. This includes completing the project without undue delays.
